On The Job Training [OJET]

Welcome to Harare Polytechnic On-The-Job Education Training (OJET) The division is charged with ensuring that students acquire critical competencies and skills needed to work in the real world of work. OJET training happens at the workplace, with guidance from supervisors, managers, or knowledgeable employees. Students learn workplace expectations, equipment operation, and any other skills that can be acquired through learning practice.
Harare Polytechnic On –The-Job -Education and Training (OJET) Division is responsible for the placement and assessment of students on industrial attachment. The division is manned by HODIV OJET and LICs from 14 divisions/ departments.

Mrs Fungai Gaza

OJET HoDIV PROFILE
Mrs. Gazah Fungai holds two Bachelors Degrees in Marketing and Accounting and has over 7 years of experience in linking employers and students. Currently, she is studying towards a Masters in Professional Accounting and heads the Division On the-J0b-Education and Training (OJET). Her main responsibility is to sell the skills of students and attachees to potential employers and to keep students abreast of job market realities and opportunities. She works with LICs from different Divisions/Departments to orient students that are due for attachment and in conducting visits to industry for the purpose of assessing students’ progress and soliciting feedback from employers.
