Welcome to the School of Hospitality & Tourism, where we provide quality training critical for the hotel and tourism industry. I feel proud to lead a department that has become synonymous with exceptional training in the hospitality and tourism sector in Zimbabwe and has produced students who are driving the Zimbabwean hotel and tourism industry and even beyond.
The School opened its doors in 2006 with the sole purpose of churning out technically skilled students for the industry. That purpose continues to guide our operations as we seek to train students with a first-rate education relevant to the needs of the tourism and hospitality industry. This is achieved through striking a between practical, industrial and theoretical learning activities delivered by a dedicated team of professionals in a conducive educational environment. The school has 20 lecturers. Our curriculum is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that it speaks to the contemporary multi-cultural and transnational hospitality industry.
Over the years, the school has continued to grow in terms of enrolment figures and in influence, locally, regionally and internationally. Our quality activities have seen us win accolades at national events such as Sanganai Travel Expo, the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), Harare Agricultural Show, International carnivals and other events.
