Health Information Management

This course is designed to develop a Health Information Personnel with knowledge, skills and attitudes to satisfy the needs of the Health Services Sector. The total duration of the course is 2040 hours spread over a period of one year. The course is offered on a block release basis. The assessment is through continuous assessment and written examinations. The course will inculcate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) culture and gender mainstreaming, inclusivity for sustainable development.



 

Graduates in this course will be equipped to

1.) Provide exceptional reference and information services
2.) Organize and manage information resources effectively both in the private and public sector
3.) Utilize technology to enhance access to information for sound decision making
4.) Conduct research and assess user needs and behavior
5.) Engage with diverse communities and promote information literacy
